Royal Enfield's upcoming Himalayan adventure tourer is expected to hit the Indian showrooms sometime in November, during the festive season. The model, which is being rigorously tested in the country, has been caught on camera once again and this time, revealing the near production-ready version.
Royal Enfield Himalayan was caught on camera dozens of times and the latest spy shots come from the motor enthusiasts at Motor Vikatan. The Himalayan tourer, which will be powered by a new single-cylinder, 410cc engine that is expected to dish out around 30bhp and 40Nm of torque, will get Continental GT-like petrol tank. The Chennai-based maker also seems to have equipped its new adventure Tourer with rear disc brake and monoshock rear suspension.
The previous spy shots have indicated upswept exhaust and fatter rear tyre, and rumour has it that the model will carry a price tag of around Rs 2 lakh. If the Royal Enfield manages to keep the price of Himalayan competitively, the bike would emerge as the most affordable Adventure Tourer in the market. Himalayan will sit below Classic 500 and the Continental GT.
