A fresh batch of spy shots of Royal Enfield's hotly-anticipated Himalayan adventure tourer has emerged online. This time, the spy photographers have caught the production ready prototype, giving the bike enthusiasts a clear picture of the upcoming model.
The latest spy shots come from the folks at AutoX. Judging from the spy shots, the new Himalayan's body kit, big windshield, raised handle bars, raised rear seat, raised rear mud guard, rear monoshock suspension and telescopic forks at the front are all one in favour of a much more off-roading Tourer. As we have seen in previous spy shots, the adventure tourer Himalayan seems to have taken design cues from the Continental GT and can also see the fuel tank of GT.
The engine of new Himalayan Tourer is likely to include 410cc single block, air cooled engine that is expected to churn out a power close to 30bhp at 40nm of torque. To be developed by famous motorcycle designer Pierre Terblanche, who is part of Royal Enfield since last November, the new Himalayan is expected to hit the roads by next year, with a price tag of around Rs 2.75 lakh.
