Spy photographers have managed to track down a new prototype of Royal Enfield's Himalayan, giving us another glimpse at the adventure tourer's development process.

Snapped by the bike enthusiast at GaadiWaadi, the adventure tourer Himalayan seems to have taken design cues from the Continental GT. The most intriguing part of the spy shot is the monoshock suspension and the model is expected to include features like pillion seat, front and rear disc brakes and spoke wheels.

As for styling, the new offering from iconic bike-maker Royal Enfield is likely to stay true to the company's heritage. However, the riding position and the handle bars of the model appears to have raised a bit for a comfortable, long drive.

The engine line-up of new Himalayan Tourer is likely to include 410cc single block, air cooled engine that is expected to churn out a power close to 30bhp at 40nm of torque. The model is expected to hit the roads by next year, with a price tag of around ₹2.75 lakh.

It has been said that the new adventure motorcycle of Royal Enfield will be developed by famous motorcycle designer Pierre Terblanche, who is part of the company since last November.
