A new image of Royal Enfield's upcoming adventure tourer Himalayan has hit the web, adding to the long list of the spy shots of the model ahead of its expected arrival in early 2016.
Snapped by Motoroids, the latest spy image of Royal Enfield Himalayan offers a closer look at the side detailing of the tourer. The Himalayan gets high seating position with step seat. The Himalayan, one of the much-awaited models to come in early 2016, is expected to be powered by an all-new single-cylinder oil-cooled 410cc engine. The engine is expected to make around 30bhp and 35Nm.
The Chennai-based motorcycle manufacturer has been testing its upcoming Himalayan tourer in India for quite a while now and the model has already made numerous appearances on the Internet through countless spy shots and leaked reports with the latest one being the model in its production disguise. From what we know so far, Himalayan will feature an upswept exhaust, fatter rear tyre and a petrol tank similar to the Continental GT. The model is expected to get new instrument cluster with a compass and altitude meter with digital display.
To be positioned below the Classic 500 and the Continental GT, Royal Enfield Himalayan is expected to be in the range of Rs 1.65-1.85 lakh.
