Royal Enfield has introduced a new colour Black shade to its Continental GT in India.
The Continental GT, a prototype of the Café Racer model will now be available in India in three colours – GT Red, GT Yellow and the new GT black in India. The new GT Black will also go on sale with the same price tag.
A report of Motoroids claimed that the new Continental GT will be available for booking with immediate effect and the colour shade will also be sold in all other markets where GT is on sale.
The bike is powered by a fuel injected 535cc single-cylinder engine which churns out a maximum power of 29PS and 44Nm of peak torque comes mated with a 5-speed gearbox and comes equipped with a 13.5-litre capacity fuel tank.
The vehicle sports 18-inch spoke wheels and comes with Paioli twin gas charged absorbers. The front brake is a 300mm floating Brembo disc and the rear a 240mm disc.
It was reported previously that Royal Enfield is working on two new engines - 600cc and 400cc to power its upcoming models in the country. Going by the rumours the 600cc engine is estimated to generate a torque of 60Nm which is 19Nm more than the current 500cc engine with 41Nm and the 400cc engine will be tuned to develop 40Nm.
Recently, Yamaha Motor India also launched two new colours for its Yamaha R15 Version 2.0-'GP Blue' and 'Streaking Cyan'. The regular variants of Yamaha R15 Version 2.0 Racing Blue and Invincible Black are priced at ₹1,10,003, and Grid Gold at ₹1,12,924, the new variants are available for ₹1,17,260 (ex-showroom Delhi).
