Chennai-based motorcycle-manufacturer Royal Enfield has added a new colour to its Continental GT cafe racer, instead of its GT Yellow paint.
The cafe racer is now available in three colours — the new GT Green shade, and the old GT Red and GT Black.The bookings for the new GT Green are open in the country. Mechanically, the new green Continental GT cafe racer remains the same and is powered by a 535cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected four-stroke engine that can churn out 29bhp @ 5,100 rpm and 44 Nm of torque @ 4,000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox.
The Continental GT Green will be available at a price of Rs 2,16,246 (on road Delhi), the same as the GT Red and GT Black variants. The GT features a single 300 mm disc brake at the front and 240 mm at the rear, and rides on Pirelli Sport Demon tyres. The cafe racer gets a telescopic suspension up front and Paioli twin gas-charged shock absorbers in the rear.
Royal Enfield has also updated its entire line-up in the country with new colours. The company has introduced nine new colours — four new colours for its retro street model Classic, three colours for the Bullet and one colour each for its highway cruiser Thunderbirdand and the Continental GT cafe racer.
The Chennai-based motorcycle-maker is expected to unveil its new adventure tourer Himalayan on 2 February in Delhi.
