Back from a sabbatical, Ranbir Kapoor spells charm and awesomeness in the just-released "Roy" trailer.
Directed by Vikramjit Singh, the story follows art-thief Roy (Kapoor) and the love triangle that he forms with Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal, the filmmaker. As reported earlier, the "Kick" actress will be seen essaying a double role in the film.
Singh has reportedly admitted that Quentin Tarantino and Sofia Coppola's love affair inspired him to a large extent.
The look and feel of the film, which is set for a 15 February release, is fresh which is why the buzz on social media is incredible. Mystery-laden and gripping, the much-delayed "Roy" is sure to feature in 2015's best thriller's list.
Despite being cast together for the first time, the lead actors look comfortable sharing screen space with each other. Rampal is as suave in his rugged avatar as it can get, and Fernandez will surely steal many more hearts once the film hits screens.
Interestingly, the Kapoor scion, who wrapped up the shoot for "Roy" in November-end, has trained for Krav Maga, a form of self defense used by the Israeli army, to shoot the climax of the film.
"It was a complex shoot, but was wrapped up in time as Ranbir had to dash off to Shimla for Imtiaz Ali's "Tamasha" that very evening. It was an action sequence and RK was seen practising Krav Maga -- a form of self-defence system used mostly by Israeli military men. RK had been training in Krav Maga for the past few weeks and thanks to his training, the shoot progressed without any hiccups," The Times of India quoted a source as saying.
Additionally, RK will be next seen in Anurag Kashyap's "Bombay Velvet" alongside Anushka Sharma and Karana Johar. He has also signed Anurag Basu's "Jagga Jasoos" opposite alleged girlfriend Katrina Kaif.
