Fashion designer Roopa Vytla or Roopa Vaitla reportedly withdrew the harassment case against her husband Srinu Vytla or Sreenu Vytla on 16 October.
It is reported that Roopa Vytla had filed a harassment complaint against Srinu Vytla at Banjara Hills Police Station, Hyderabad, on 15 October. In her complaint, Santoshi Roopa claimed that she was manhandled by her partner after an altercation. Following the incident, she left their house in Jubilee Mountains at Journalist's Colony and went to stay with her parents at Yousufguda.
The police had registered a case under Section 498 A of the Indian Penal Code. "In line with the criticism filed by Rupa, we have listed a case against Srinu Vaitla under section 498-A (revealing a married lady to cruelty) of the IPC," the Financial Prospect quoted Inspector G Murali Krishna as saying.
As per Supreme Court's guidelines, the police conducted counselling sessions for the couple. After this session, Roopa reportedly withdrew the complaint. But some reports suggest that the case has to be attended by the court as the FIR was already registered.
Srinu Vytla tied the knot with Roopa after falling love with her ten years ago. The couple is blessed with three daughters, who were seen in films like "Dookudu" and "Baadshah". During the beginning of her career, Roopa worked as a personal stylist for Samantha. Later, she worked as a stylist for Srinu's film, except his last venture "Bruce Lee - the Fighter".
Besides, Roopa also helped Srinu in the film-making and promotion. But of late, all was not well with Srinu Vytla as he suffered a setback following back-to-back failures like "Aagadu" and "Bruce Lee - the Fighter". His depression led to him developing problems with his wife. His extra marital affair was reportedly another reason for disturbances in their married life.
The couple was known for their healthy relationship and the two were often seen together in film functions. The news about Roopa's harassment charges against her husband Srinu came as a shock to many in the industry. Along with their family members, a few leading film personalities reportedly intervened the couple to sort out the issues between the two.
