British luxury car maker Rolls-Royce has launched the Ghost Series II in India starting at ₹4.5 crore (ex-showroom Mumbai).
Ghost Series II has been launched with minor tweaks both inside and outside and among the changes, the most noticeable one is the new LED powered rectangular headlamps instead of the round main headlamps. The car also gets new 21- inch alloys with new paint shades and a new rear bumper.
As said before, the changes are limited and inside the cabin, the new Ghost series gets a new infotainment system, 10-inch multimedia screen with a touchpad controller and new seats with reworked electronic adjustments and heating options. In terms of dimension, the car measures 5,569 mm in length, 1,948 mm in width, 1,550 mm in height and comes seated on a wheelbase of 3,465 mm.
The power comes from 6.6-litre, twin turbo V12 engine, which can generate a power of 563bhp and a peak torque of 780Nm and comes mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The Ghost Series II can attain 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds with a top speed of 250km/h.
The company, which is seeing India as a potential market for high end cars is planning to expand its dealership network in the country in the coming years.
"We are bringing the car to India because there definitely is a demand and we want to fulfill it. People in India love our cars," NDTV quoted Sven Ritter, GM Rolls-Royce Asia Pacific.
