British luxury carmaker Rolls-Royce will launch the Dawn convertible in India on June 24. The Dawn is the convertible sibling of the Wraith coupe that is already on sale in India. The Dawn is also based on the Wraith's platform and the styling is also similar, except the soft top.
The convertible comes with a fabric roof that can be deployed and retracted in 22 seconds at a maximum speed of 50kmph.The luxury car is powered by a twin-turbo 6.6-litre V12 powertrain. It develops a power output of 563bhp at 5,250rpm and a torque rating of 780Nm at 1,500rpm. All the power is directed to the rear wheels via a ZF eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Despite the fact that Dawn is the sibling of Wraith, Rolls-Royce says 80 percent of the bodywork on the convertible is new. The car flaunts Satellite Aided Transmission system that scans the road ahead with the help of GPS and adjusts the right gear. It also comes with iDrive system and the infotainment system has 16 speakers. Inside, the car comes with plenty of premium quality wooden and leather inserts. The Dawn features four-zone automatic climate control.
The price of the Dawn is estimated in the range of Rs 4.5 crore to 5 crore. The Dawn will be the second convertible from Rolls-Royce after the Phantom Drop Head in India.
