Rohit Sharma recently became a father as his wife Ritika Sajdeh gave birth to a baby girl on December 30, 2018, and the cricketer has taken to Twitter to announce the name of the newborn.
Rohit is currently in Mumbai spending time with his wife and daughter as India stands on the cusp of an unprecedented series win in Australia but the right-hander will have no regrets that he came back home as he seems to be overjoyed and overwhelmed by fatherhood.
On Sunday, January 6, Rohit posted a picture on Twitter with his wife and newborn. In his caption, he called his daughter, "Baby Samaira".

Just two days ago, on January 4, Rohit had shared his first picture with his baby who was seen holding the little fingers of both her parents.
Rohit was a part of the Indian team that defeated Australia at Melbourne in the third Test match of the ongoing series to set the visitors on their path to a historic series victory. He was on his way back when he got the news of his fatherhood. The news was broken by Ritika's good friend, Seema Khan when she posted a story on her official Instagram page.
Rohit Sharma is expected to join the Indian squad on January 8 as he is an integral part of the ODI set-up. The vice-captain of the team will be available for selection for the three-match series starting on January 12.
