When does the Cincinnati Masters final start and how to watch it online
The big final between Federer and Djokovic will start at 4 pm local time, 1:30 am IST (Monday) and 9 pm BST.
Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD will provide live television coverage of the match in India. The live stream will be available on Sony Liv.
What to expect from the final
Federer has a 7-0 record in final at Cincinnati. While on the other hand, Djokovic has never won a final here in five attempts. One of their streaks will come to an end in Ohio today as the two greats meet in the title match.
Federer and Djokovic haven't met since the former lost the Australian Open semi-final. In fact, Federer has lost six of their last eight meetings and is trailing in head-to-head meetings — 22-23.
However, a lot has changed since their last meeting. Federer ended his Grand Slam drought at Australian Open 2017 and has been on top form since then. The 20-time Grand Slam champion reclaimed the numero uno spot in men's tennis.
On the other hand, Djokovic suffered an elbow injury that marred his campaigns on the tour. He had ended a two-year Grand Slam title-less run only last month at Wimbledon.
Nonetheless, both the legends are in top form ahead of Sunday's blockbuster meeting.
Federer eased into the final after his semi-final opponent David Goffin withdrew from an injury in the second set on Saturday. The 36-year-old hasn't had an easy road to the final but as numbers suggest, he is invincible on the final Sunday of Cincinnati Masters.
On the other hand, Djokovic was made to work hard for his victory by Marin Cilic in the semi-final. After losing the second set, the Serb held his nerves and closed out the match 6-4, 3-6, 6-3.
The winner of Sunday's final will be laying down an early marker for US Open, starting August 27.
Meanwhile, Djokovic is also chasing an unprecedented feat as he will become the first ever tennis player to win all nine Masters 1000 tournaments at least once — Golden Masters.
