Ubisoft San Francisco's upcoming music video game, Rocksmith 2014 Edition is heading closer to its eventual release in October. The studio has added newer features and improvements for its 2014 Edition.
The game introduces us to a new Colorblind mode, which aids the players by prompting the next notes in the music they are playing using colors.
Michael Madavi, community manager, Ubisoft spoke at length in a video feature.
"Colorblindness is a common affliction that affects a significant amount of the population by limiting their ability to see certain color wavelengths. While being colorblind might be a game-changer in any visual product, it's especially relevant to Rocksmith as we use a color-coded system to let you know what strings on the guitar you should play. Being colorblind will directly influence your ability to play the game - and that's exactly why we decided to address it!" said Madavi in an Ubisoft blog post.
Taylor Benson, producer of the game, who is himself color blind worked on the feature. "In Colorblind Mode we've adjusted the hues and saturation of the color blocks in Rocksmith to make them much easier to understand for those with colorblindness! With the mode activated, all parts of the game that are color-coordinated will be changed with the new set of hues, from core gameplay to our Guitarcade mini-games and more," said Benson.
The studio recently also announced the addition of new songs to the game, including Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar On Me," Deftones' "My Own Summer," Green Day's "X-Kid," Queen's "We Are The Champions," Ratt's "Round and Round," Rush's "The Spirit Of Radio, and "Mary Jane's Last Dance" from Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, Joystiq reported.
Rocksmith 2014 Edition makes it easier for players to learn guitar the "best and fastest" way. The game will be releasing in Oct 22 for PC, Mac, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
