Piracy has been a menace for the film industry. All the efforts from the film bodies and governments have failed to put an end to it. These days, films make it to torrent sites hours after a film sees a theatrical release and there are instances when films were leaked even before its official release. A similar kind of rumours started doing on social media citing that KGF has made it to torrent sites before hitting the screens.
There was apparently a video footage from KGF doing rounds on the internet stating that full movie was leaked online. "Received these forwards claiming that #KGF movie is leaked online. If true it is very disgusting and unfortunate. Has the film team come across these? @Karthik1423 @hombalefilms @TheNameIsYash @KGFTheFilm Don't allow piracy win [sic]," journalist Shyam Prasad had tweeted.
However, it was soon revealed that it was the shots from the teaser and trailers.
Karthik Gowda, the executive producer of KGF, came out with a statement that they have formed an anti-piracy cell to monitor the piracy. "Shyam sir .. Tats a fake forward... We are fully equipped with anti Piracy tan working 24*7. Below s d helpline. Ppl can msg or mail this hepline when they find anything of this sort. They r 24*7 available Whatsapp: 8978650014 E-mail: claims@antipiracysolutions.org. [sic]"
