Rajinikanth starrer "Robot 2" (Enthiran 2) has been creating a huge buzz, as the film is a sequel to the superstar's blockbuster film "Robot". The film also has Akshay Kumar, who will be seen playing the main antagonist opposite Rajinikanth.
While the South superstar has already started shooting, Akshay will soon join the cast and crew of the Shankar directorial.
While movie-lovers must be eagerly waiting for "Robot 2" to release, in a recent interview for his upcoming film "Airlift", Akshay spilled some beans on the plot of the Rajinikanth starrer.
The "Baby" actor said that the film carries a message. "I liked the story of 'Robot 2'... Let me just give you one little sneak peak. It teaches you something. There is a message in 'Robot 2'. I loved the script," said Akshay, reported PTI.
It should be mentioned that the "Brothers" actor's previous films, "Baby", "Special 26" and "Holiday", also had strong social messages.
The "Khiladi" actor also said that he is glad to be the first male Bollywood actor to do a Tamil film. "I am very happy. And I am grateful to them to get me and put me there... Which other male actor has gone there?" Akshay said.
"You don't get it (the roles). Down south they take our heroines but...I am happy that I am doing it. I would love to break this myth and do a South Indian film. I have done a Marathi film, Punjabi film, I would love to do a Gujrati film, Bihari and Bengali film."
In other news, Akshay will be seen in "Airlift" that will hit theatres on 22 January. Directed by Raja Menon, the film is based on the true event of India's biggest ever human evacuation mission.
