Several Hollywood celebrities have spoken out against the Republican presidential nominee, Donald Trump and actor Robert DeNiro is the latest to join the list. A recently released video captures the actor's frustration with Trump.
The 73-year-old actor, who appeared in a video for Get Out The Vote campaign, expressed his honest thoughts on Trump. The uncut version, released by Fox News and broadcast on The Kelly File, on 7 October, captures DeNiro's anger.
The Meet the Parents star called the Republican presidential nominee "stupid" and added that Trump doesn't do his homework nor does he pay his taxes.
"He doesn't know what he's talking about, doesn't do his homework, doesn't care, thinks he's gaming society, doesn't pay his taxes. He's an idiot," DeNiro said.
"Colin Powell said it best: He's a national disaster. He's an embarrassment to this country. It makes me so angry that this country has gotten to this point that this fool, this bozo, has wound up where he has," he added.
DeNiro's rant didn't end there. He went on to say that he's worried that America might go in the wrong direction with someone like Trump at the helm. The Academy award winner told voters, "If you care about your future, vote for it."
Although it's unclear when the video was shot, it did appear on TV screens shortly after Washington Post released a video of Trump and former Access Hollywood host, Billy Bush.
In the footage, the business mogul is heard saying he can do anything because he is famous. He also made lewd comments about groping women.
Since the footage was released, many Republicans have withdrawn their support for Trump and there have been calls to withdraw his bid for presidency. However, Trump has said that he would not back out of the presidential race.
Trump is scheduled to take part in the second presidential debate with Democratic nominee, Hillary Clinton on Sunday.
