The TNT procedural drama series "Rozzoli & Isles' is returning in the summer of 2015 with season 6. The premiere episode titled "The Platform", which airs on Tuesday, 16 June, has been written by the showrunner Jan Nash, and is expected to be action-packed.
The promo for the new season reminds fans of how "Rizzoli & Isles" brilliantly incorporated humour into their action and mystery-packed series.
The show gives a sneak peek into the murder investigation of an unarmed man and how Isles (Sasha Alexander) looks at dead bodies like a child looks at Disneyland. Even Rizzoli's (Angie Harmon) wine-loving ways get exposed as Isles lures her into getting a spa treatment with the promise of wine.
Here is the official synopsis for the season 6 premiere episode "The Platform" of TNT's "Rizzoli & Isles", which will be aired at 9.00 pm (EST) on Tuesday.
"When it appears one of Boston P.D.'s own has shot an unarmed man on a busy Boston subway platform, the team must fight to find the real killer while clearing the detective's name. But with Internal Affairs breathing down their necks, it becomes clear that the circumstances surrounding this shooting are anything but clear."
There are also rumours of a possible love interest for Isles in the form of an assistant medical examiner. According to earlier reports, Adam Sinclair was roped in to play Kent Drake, the aid medical examiner who works with Isles and becomes popular with her. However, he is said to have a secretive private life.
