IPS officer Rishiraj Singh has once again hit headlines, this time for allegedly not saluting Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala during the passing out parade of state women police in Thrissur on Saturday, 11 July.
The incident gained attention after a photo of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) ignoring the Home Minister started doing the rounds on social media.

While many claim his disrespect was a mark of protest against his latest transfer from the post of chief vigilance officer with KSEB, Singh, who was another chief guest for the event, claimed that he didn't violate any protocol.
"As per protocol those sitting in gallery for watching the parade are supposed to stand only once national anthem is played : otherwise all are supposed to sit till vvip leaves," according to the Facebook (unverified) post of the IPS officer.
However, some online users have also been sharing the photos of the IPS officer interacting with the Home Minister during the event.

Meanwhile, in his recent Facebook post, Chennithala has made it clear that the reports circulating on the media are baseless and that he got an explanation from the IPS officer on the incident.
