Bollywood veteran actor Rishi Kapoor is gearing up for a solo item song in Subhash Ghai's upcoming film "Kaanchi".
The 60-year-old actor, who played the role of an underworld don, Iqbal Seth aka Goldman, in his recent film "D-Day", will match steps along with 60 other dancers in the item song. The dance sequence will be choreographed by Ganesh Acharya and the song has been composed by Salim-Suleman.
Expressing his excitement over the item song Rishi said, "I am too thrilled to do this solo item dance with Subhash Ghai after so many years and its a fabulous song," Press Trust of India reported.
"Kaanchi" reunites Rishi and Subhash Ghai after more than three decades. They last worked together in 1980 release "Karz".
Sharing his experience of working with Rishi Ghai said, "Rishi is amazing... He has the same passion and energy he had earlier. I love working with him again."
"Kaanchi" features Kartik Aryan in a lead role opposite newcomer Mishti. The film will hit screen on 6 December.
Rishi's upcoming project also includes Ranbir Kapoor starrer "Besharam". He plays the role of a cop named Chulbul Pandey in the film and shares screen space with his wife Neetu Singh for in the film. "Besharam" is slated to release on 2 October.
The actor will also make a special appearance in Sushant Singh Rajput-Parineeti Chopra starrer "Shuddh Desi Romance". The film, which is set to release on 6 September, is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra.
