After Rise of the Tomb Raider, the 2013 reboot and an Xbox exclusive, developer Crystal Dynamics has announced that the game's first story DLC, "Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch" will release on 26 January.
Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch lets the game's protagonist Lara Croft into the mysterious and magical forest of Baba Yaga, a witch. The trailer shoiws Croft has to overcome illusion and distortion of mind as she hears the voice of her dad call her name, and is seen following a figure resembling him. But she is stopped by a sudden ghost that appears in her path.
Baba Yaga is a supernatural being appearing as a deformed or ferocious woman, based on Slavic folklore. This new DLC also boasts of several beastly monsters and several hours of gameplay.
The last DLC Rise of the Tomb Raider received was Endurance Mode. Square Enix, publishers of the game, will offer another DLC, Cold Darkness Awakened, some time after the Baba Yaga DLC.
Rise of the Tomb Raider is scheduled to release on 28 January for PC, and Eurogamer reported Microsoft has confirmed the Baba Yaga DLC will also release for PC when it launches.
Rise of the Tomb Raider will release on PS4 sometime in 2016.
