The news of legendary music composer MS Viswanathan's demise was received with shock by the music lovers. Viswanathan, one of the most respected composers in south Indian music industry, breathed his last on Tuesday.
The veteran composer created more than 1,800 songs in all south Indian languages in his over four-decade-long career in the industry. Often referred as "Mellisai Mannar" (king of light music), MSV is known for composing hit songs for legendary cine stars like MG Ramachandran and Sivaji Ganesan.

As homage to the legendary composer, Tamil film industry cancelled all shooting on 15 July, Wednesday. Some of the celebrities, including AR Rahman, Mammootty, Suriya and Dhanush shared their condolence on Twitter.
