With just two days to go for the world's biggest sporting event -- the Olympic Games in Rio -- yet another Indian athlete has reportedly failed the dope test. This time it is supposed to be India's 200m sprinter Dharambir Singh.

Dharambir, who put on impressive times to qualify for the Olympics in the sprints, was asked to stay back and not board a flight to Rio, after he reportedly failed a dope test, according to the Times of India.

The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) carried out a dope test on the Indian sprinter recently.

Dharambir Singh was supposed to take on the best in the world in the 200 metres event at the Rio Olympics. He is now likely to miss that opportunity.

The Indian fans would have loved to see Dharambir, who became the first sprinter to qualify for thr 200m in the Olmypics for more than 30 years, brushing shoulders with Usain Bolt, Justin Gatlin and other sprinters, who are the serious contenders for a podium finish at the Rio Olympics.

India's shot putter Inderjeet Singh also failed a dope test carried out by NADA recently. Earlier, it was wrestler Narsingh Yadav, who had failed two dope tests. But on Monday, NADA cleared Narsingh of the doping charges.
