There were rumours that all was not well between Kapil Sharma and Sumona Chakravarti after the latter was missing in several episodes of The Kapil Sharma Show. However, Kiku Sharda has now confirmed that there is no rift between the two.
Sumona, who plays the character of Kapil's onscreen admirer in the show, has apparently been missing in the recent episodes. This led to speculations suggesting that the actress is no more a part of The Kapil Sharma Show or is having differences with the comedian.
Rubbishing the buzz, Kiku now said that Sumona will soon be seen in the show and everything is "hunky dory." "People are only speculating that there are problems. Sumona is very much a part of The Kapil Sharma Show and will continue being so. In fact, we shot for an episode yesterday and things were hunky dory. Fans of Sumona need not worry. You will surely see more of her in the coming episodes," Bollywoodlife quoted Kiku as saying, who is also an integral part of the cast.
Earlier, Sumona had responded to the rumours of she being out of The Kapil Sharma Show and her statement had created more doubts in the minds of the fans.
"That's a question you should ask Kapil Sharma. I am just a part of the team and I follow the script. I don't get into that aspect of how much air time they are slotting for me. I have been working for the last 10 years and I got my due very late in this industry, but all this does not bother me.
Anyway, I am not a Salman Khan or a Shah Rukh Khan who can control the creative part of an episode. I am not aware if they are introducing a new love interest; people should understand that I am not involved in the decision-making process," she had told The Times of India, when asked why she was not seen regularly on the show and if any other character is being planned to be introduced.
