Season 3 of "Rick and Morty" might take a bit more time to finally hit the TV screens, much to the disappointment of the fans who are eagerly waiting for the next instalment of the series.
As reported by Parent Herald, Dan Harmon, co-creator of the series, revealed in a recent report that the production of the third season is still ongoing. However, fans are wondering that when Cartoon Network will premiere the series.

It seems that the next season of the series won't air anytime before late 2016 or early 2017. Denying the early rumours that stated the release date to be August 2016, Harmon told Paste magazine, "That I can squash. I don't see any parallel universe where August is a possibility."
The series creator made it clear that there is still a lot of work to be done before the premiere date of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 can be decided. It seems that any recent update regarding the show will come only from the network itself.
The announcement has surely disheartened the fans who were waiting for the series to be finally premiered in July or August. However, there is a significant possibility that they will finally get to watch their favourite show by the end of this year or in January/February 2017.
While fans might have to wait for a much longer time for the third season of "Rick and Morty," IMDb has recently revealed the unofficial synopses of the upcoming episodes of the show. If the released synopses are genuine, then the viewers will get to see Rick imprisoned in an unknown location and Morty putting his best efforts to get him out of it.
The synopsis of Episode 3 of "Rick and Morty" Season 3 states that a fake Rick and real Morty will be bonding together until a mysterious evil Morty shows up and kidnaps Rick. In Episode 4, the evil Morty will be using a strange object to execute his plan that has not yet revealed.
