Richard Madden — who the world knows as King Robb Stark from Game of Thrones — recently talked about his role in the fantasy drama series and even predicted how the HBO adaptation of George RR Martin's book should end and his predictions are pretty dark and grim.
In Game of Thrones, Richard Madden played the role of young Robb Stark for three seasons. In the show, he was shown a dutiful son, a loyal husband, and an honoured king who knew how to avenge his father's death. In Game of Thrones season 3, Richard Madden's Robb Stark was brutally murdered along with his pregnant wife, his mother, and his entire flee by The Lannisters allying with Roose Bolton in order to become the warden of the North.
While speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about his latest series, Bodyguard, Richard Madden talked about Game of Thrones season 8 and how he thinks it should end.
"I kind of think it's just going to be three dragons flying around and everyone else is dead," he said, adding. "It's a possibility!"
In Game of Thrones season 7, it was shown that Daenerys Targaryen lost one of her dragons, who was later resurrected by the Night King. So, even if Madden's prediction comes true then it would probably be only two dragons flying over all the corpses.
Apart from giving away his predictions about Game of Thrones ending, Richard Madden also talked about how excited he is for the final season to air.
"I can't wait for the new season," he said. "I kind of don't recognize that I was in it anymore because I've been watching so many years of it, and they talk about Robb Stark and I know who he is but I don't see myself in that role. I'm just a viewer now, which is so good."
Richard Madden further stated that as an actor, who was playing the role of Robb Stark on the show, he knew about all the bad things beforehand but now, since his character is killed off years ago, he "can truly enjoy it as a viewer, which is thrilling."
Game of Thrones season 8 trailer will be released by HBO in days to come. The final season will air in April 2019.
