Actress Richa Chadha is known for her acting chops and is often seen in rugged roles. Currently, the actress is shooting for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer "Sarbjit" and her first look as Sarabjit's wife has been revealed.
The lead character of Sarabjit, the Indian who died in a Pakistani jail in May 2013, is being played by Randeep Hooda. The former Miss World is portraying the character of Sarabjit's sister Dalbir Kaur in the biopic.
Recently, trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the first look of Chadha in the flick, where she is seen as a Punjaban, playing the role of Sarabjit's wife Sukhpreet Kaur. The "Masaan" actress is known for experimenting with her looks in her films.
While she flaunted some not-so-glamorous avatars in films like "Gang of Wasseypur", "Fukrey", "Goliyon Ki Rasleela – Ram-leela" and critically-acclaimed film "Masaan", she set temperatures soaring in her last flick "Main Aur Charles" opposite Hooda.
A few days ago, Rai's look from the film was also leaked online. She was snapped in a de-glam avatar on the sets of "Sarbjit". Meanwhile, her one-take shots for the Omung Kumar directorial has become the talk of the town. After leaving the people on the sets teary-eyed, she recently pulled off a two-minute-long scene in one go.
On the other hand, apart from Rai, Hooda and Chadha, the film also features "Mary Kom" actor Darshan Kumaar in an important role. He has been roped in for the character of Khalid Pervaiz, a Pakistani lawyer who fights Sarabjit's case.
The biopic is being produced by Sandeep Singh, Vashu Bhagnani and Omung Kumar. The film will hit the theatres on 19 May this year, and is expected to be released at the Cannes Film Festival 2016.
