Teresa and Joe Giudice, who are awaiting their 2 October sentencing for cases relating to fraud, is reportedly expecting their fifth baby, and a new report has it that Teresa's pregnancy could help her get a lesser sentencing.
Celeb Dirty Laundry, citing an In Touch story, reported that Teresa's lawyers are using her fifth alleged pregnancy to get her a lesser sentence, and she is also said to have set divorce proceedings in motion. Citing sources, the website noted that divorce papers will be finalised once Teresa and Joe are officially sentenced on 2 October.
Supposedly, Teresa wants to rebuild her image and paint herself as the victim, and she feels this could be best done by divorcing Joe. Also, Teresa feels she could secure her spot on the upcoming season of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" by portraying herself as a single mom of five children on house arrest, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry.
Meanwhile, another report claims that Teresa's lawyers have advised her to put a clamp on her public appearances and social networking activity, as they believe her reality fame is hurting her image.
For instance, a recent episode of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" had Teresa flaunting a $2,000 Valentino bag, and her attorneys are furious at her for showcasing her wealth. "All of her bad behavior is caught on camera, and there is a chance the judge or prosecutors could use that against her," a source told Radar Online.
"After reading the report of Teresa carrying such a high priced designer bag, her lawyers were furious," the source continued. "It just looks bad after coming out of her bankruptcy drama. Teresa told her attorneys that the producers asked her to carry the designer handbag, and she felt obligated to do so, but they were still mad and told her to keep quiet."
Divulging more on the bag drama, the source revealed that producers of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" wanted her to "look extremely wealthy while looking for a new house, especially because she was downsizing."
Although Teresa wanted to keep it, producers asked her to return it, and "she wasn't happy about it at all!" the source added.
