It's still a few weeks before "Sultan" arrives in theatres and Salman Khan is already preparing for his next, "Tubelight," with Kabir Khan. The superstar stepped out sporting a new haircut, which he said was for his upcoming film.
"Yes, this is my look for Kabir Khan's film which is a period film. Sohail and I play siblings in it," Catch News quoted him as saying. "Tubelight" is a period film and Salman and Kabir's third after "Ek Tha Tiger" and "Bajrangi Bhaijaan."
The makers are on the lookout for a lead actress, but the central cast has almost been decided with Salman and his brother Sohail Khan on board. There were reports that Deepika Padukone was approached for a role, but those rumours were laid to rest by the filmmaker soon after.
Salman Khan Films COO Amar Butala said that the team was on the lookout for a Chinese actress, adding that the cast was yet to be finalised. This was a few months ago when Kabir hadn't made any statements about his film.
"Kabir Khan and I don't have any sort of pressure. Pressure is only on the script and if the script turns out fine, there should be absolutely no pressure. We are really excited to start shooting for the film as the script has turned out to be exceptional," Salman told the web portal when asked about their next project together.
"Tubelight" is scheduled to roll by July 15 at Ladakh and is expected to hit the screens on Eid 2017.
