Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma, Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar, through a series of tweets, confirmed the release date of Imtiaz Ali's next (starring SRK and Sharma), but didn't disclose the title of the film.
While that is being guessed, there's been another fresh piece of news about the romantic-drama film. It is being said that Ranbir Kapoor may feature in a cameo role in it. The young actor has been approached to play Anushka's fiancé and has a couple of scenes. Ali thought it wise to get Ranbir on board for the part because he was blown away by the kind of chemistry he (Ranbir) shared with Anushka in Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.
"He wanted a similar friendship and camaraderie to flow between Anushka's character and her fiancé's in the movie. Since Ranbir is busy shooting for Jagga Jasoos, he is yet to shoot for the part, but he has given his nod to Imtiaz," an insider informed Mid-Day.
Ranbir hopes to shoot for the said scenes once he wraps up Jagga Jasoos and before he begins with work on the Sanjay Dutt biopic. "He intends to squeeze in time for this after he wraps up Jagga Jasoos and before he starts shooting for the Sanjay Dutt-biopic with Rajkumar Hirani that will need him to look the part – long hair and more muscular," the source further elaborated.
Shah Rukh and Anushka have completed the first leg of shooting that was done and dusted in Europe — Budapest, Portugal and a few other European countries. They will reportedly kick-start the second schedule in Punjab by mid-December.
This is Shah Rukh and Anushka's third film together after Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Jab Tak Hai Jaan. It is scheduled to be released on August 11, 2017.
