Maruti Suzuki is reportedly planning to launch its new SX4 S-Cross in India in the first week of July.
A report in OverDrive, citing sources close to the matter, claims that Maruti's new crossover S-Cross will be launched in India in the first week of July. However, the report did not divulge the exact launch details of the model. Maruti S-Cross will be shown on 7 June at the IIFA awards 2015, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Under the hood, Maruti's S-Cross aka Across is likely to include 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines. The 1.6-litre diesel engine will have the capacity to churn out a power of 118bhp with a peak torque of 32kgm and the transmission is likely to come from a six-speed manual gearbox. Recent set spy shots of S-Cross had shown the model with roof-carrier.
Likely to be priced around ₹8 lakh, the Maruti S-Cross will be up against Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and Nissan Terrano in India. From what we know so far, Maruti SX4 S-Cross aka S-Cross will be available in six body colours -- Cosmic Black Pearl Metallic, Arctic White Pearl, Galactic Grey Metallic Boost Blue Pearl Metallic, Bison Brown Pearl Metallic and Silky Silver Metallic.
