Revealed: Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Features, Specifications, Variants and Everything You Need to Know [PHOTOS]

The stage is all set to welcome the newest offering in the crossover segment Maruti S-cross. Ahead of its official launch in the country, Maruti, the country's largest car maker unveiled its S-Cross in India, revealing the interior and exterior details of the model.

Maruti S-Cross, the first crossover offering of the company will be launched in India only in diesel engine options. There will be two diesel engines on offer -- 200 DDiS 1.3-litre diesel motor, which can churn out 89bhp of power and 200Nm of torque and 320 DDiS 1.6-litre diesel that is tuned to pump out 118bhp and 320Nm of torque. The transmission in S-Cross will be taken care of by 5-speed manual gearbox and a 6-speed manual gearbox respectively.

To be launched in eight variants -- 1.3L Sigma, 1.3L Sigma (O), 1.3L Delta, 1.3L Zeta, 1.3L Alpha, 1.6L Delta, 1.6L Zeta and 1.6L Alpha -- Maruti S-Cross will measure 4,300 mm in length, 1,765 mm in width, and 1,590 mm in height. The S-Cross has a ground clearance of 180 mm and comes seated on a wheelbase of 2,600 mm.

The S-Cross will be available in five body paints -- Urban Blue, Caffeine Brown, Granite Grey, Premium Sliver and Pear Arctic white. Maruti S-cross is expected to hit the showrooms by the end of July and will be sold through Maruti's premium Nexa dealerships.

To be pitted against Renault Duster and Ford EcoSport in India, the S-Cross will be priced at around ₹8 lakh.
