It's not official yet, but several reports have come out on Thursday claiming that December 9 is when India cricket team bowler Ishant Sharma is tying the knot with basketball player Pratima Singh. The two got engaged in June earlier this year in New Delhi.
Ishant, 28, picked by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to feature in the India vs England test series, scheduled to start on November 9, has been referred to as one of the most eligible bachelors in the India cricket team. The tag is officially coming to an end now, leaving several women heartbroken.
A flurry of marriages over the last few months saw several of the India cricket team stars tying the knot. It all started when star spinner Harbhajan Singh tied the knot with Bollywood actress Geeta Basra in November 2015. Rohit Sharma then married long-time girlfriend Ritika Sajdeh the following month.
It now remains to be seen if Yuvraj Singh, who got engaged to model-turned-actress Hazel Keech in November last year, announces his marriage date sometime soon.
Ishant's would-be, Pratima, 26, who stands in at 5'9" tall (and comes pretty short for the 6'4" Ishant) is a national team basketball player. Her sisters, Divya, Prashanti, Akanksha and Priyanka, are also basketball players for the India women's team.
