Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will work with Karan Johar for the first time in his directorial movie "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil". The makers announced the film and details of the lead cast on Twitter.
But not everyone knows that the former Miss World didn't take the offer seriously for the first time. Karan attended one of Bachchan's house parties where he mentioned about his next film to Aishwarya Rai.
But since she had signed Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa", she didn't take Karan's offer seriously.
"Karan had jokingly mentioned about his film to Ash at one of Bachchan's house parties. However, the former Miss World didn't take the offer seriously as she had signed Jazbaa. After a lot of sleepless nights, the Bombay Velvet baddie finally messaged Bachchan bahu that he can't make his film without her," BollywoodLife.com quoted a source as saying.
Soon after that, Karan narrated the whole script to Aishwarya Rai at his residence and she agreed to play the role.
Meanwhile, talking about the other two lead actors, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma, Karan said that he has worked with them "Bombay Velvet" and he liked their chemistry in the film.
"I had got to know Ranbir and Anushka really well while shooting Bombay Velvet. And I saw their chemistry. Bombay Velvet had tapped into an unusual part of their chemistry. This film will tap into another unusual part of their chemistry," Karan told The Times of India in an interview.
"When I worked with Ranbir and Anushka in Bombay Velvet, I knew their pairing and undeniable chemistry warranted another film and I am extremely excited to direct them," he added.
"Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" will be a romantic film and will release on 3 June 2016. The shooting of the film will take place in New York, London, Paris and parts of New Delhi.
