Revealed: Ford Figo Aspire Sedan Features, Specifications, Launch, Price and Everything Else You Need to Know

American auto major Ford is all set to launch its new sedan Figo Aspire in India in coming weeks. Ahead of its launch in the country, Ford has revealed the engine specifications and other technical details of Figo Aspire, giving auto enthusiasts in the country a clear picture of the model.

To start with, the engine line-up of Ford Figo Aspire will include three engines -- 1.2-liter Ti-VCT petrol, 1.5-litre TDCI and 1.5-litre Ti-VCT motor -- and two transmission options -- five-speed manual transmission and six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The entry variant of Figo Aspire will be powered by 1.2-liter Ti-VCT engine, which is tuned to churn out 88 PS @ 6300 rpm and 112 Nm @ 4000 rpm of peak torque and comes mated to a five-speed manual transmission. While the 1.5-liter TDCi which also does duty in Ford EcoSport has the capacity to produce 100PS of power and 215Nm of torque with 5-speed manual gearbox , the 1.5-liter Ti-VCT is tuned to dish out 112 PS @ 6300 rpm and 136 Nm @ 4250 rpm of torque with 6-Speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.

In terms of dimensions, Ford Figo Aspire measures 3,995 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 1,525 mm in height. The model comes seated on a wheelbase of 2,491 mm and has a ground Clearance of 174 mm.

To be available in four trim - Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ -- Figo Aspire will come in six exterior colour choices -- Ruby Red, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White, Tuxedo Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver and Smoke Grey.

The features list of new Figo Aspire includes rear fog lamps, six airbags, ABS with EBD, Ford MyKey, dual-tone interiors, guide me home lamps, automatic door lock, driver and passenger airbags, keyless entry, steering mounted phone and audio controls, electric ORVMs and Ford SYNC with AppLink with Voice Commands.

When launched, Ford Figo Aspire will be pitted against Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, Tata Zest and Hyundai Xcent and is expected to be priced in the range of in the range of ₹5.2 lakh- ₹7 lakh.
