After Sylvester Stallone and Salman Khan's conversation on Twitter, it was speculated if the "Rocky" actor will star in "Sultan".
Rumour had it that Stallone would play Salman's coach in Ali Abbas Zafar's film. But, the reports turned out to be false.
"No. It is not true. Apna Salman hi kaafi hai. (Salman is big enough)," The Indian Express quoted Raja, Rani Mukerji's brother and Executive Producer of "Sultan", as saying.
Also, a source close to the project confirmed the news. "The report that Stallone is in 'Sultan' is completely false. Whoever thought of that one deserves the Pulitzer for fiction. Why would we sign Stallone for 'Sultan'?" Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying.
"Firstly Stallone played a boxer in 'Rambo', not a wrestler, if that is the connection people are making. Secondly Salman Khan plays a wrestler from Haryana. Why would a wrestler from Haryana have a Caucasian mentor?" the insider further said.
Earlier, Stallone had played a brief role in Bollywood film "Kambakkht Ishq" and reportedly, he was upset after his role in the Akshay Kumar starrer was reduced.
Meanwhile, Salman wants Sanjay Dutt to play the role of the coach. Though the "Munnabhai MBBS" actor is currently in jail, he will be free by the end of the year.
Produced by Yash Raj Films, "Sultan" will present Salman in the role of a wrestler from Haryana.
The film is expected to be released along with Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" next year on Eid.
Currently, Salman is busy promoting his upcoming film "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". The Sooraj Barjatya directorial, which also features Sonam Kapoor, is set to hit theatres on 12 November.
