Kritika Kamra, who plays fearless journalist Ananya on Sony TV's "Reporters" is a strong lady in real life too.
Kritika has been honoured with "Cyber Celebrity of the Year" title for her contribution towards the society.
The actress received the award for her association with MTV "Webbed", a dramatised series of real life incidents that youth come across on the web.
The prestigious award was handed over to her by the cyber crime section of police department at a two-day national conference on Cyber Crime Control.
Besides Kritika, several people across different industries who have contributed to the well-being of the society by making others aware of the cyber crimes were also honoured with the title.
The actress was the only celebrity from the entertainment industry to have bagged the award.
Talking about the same, an elated Kritika told Telly Chakkar: "It was so unexpected but definitely a surprising thing. Although we dramatise things onscreen, our show had definitely spread the right notes all across. It is always humbling to have parents come up to you saying that they have learnt a lot from us. Children definitely found a learning ground through Webbed."
"It was a wonderful event wherein people got to know more about cyber crime and how to stay safe. I met a lot of people from NGOs, law officials, students and had a great discussion. It was overall a learning experience," the actress added while sharing her experience of attending the conference.
