Renault Lodgy MPV has returned in fresh batch spy shots, ahead of its India launch this year.
Expected to take to the road around March this year, Lodgy MPV, French auto maker Renault's answer to Honda Mobilio was caught undergoing testing on GST Road, Chennai. Thanks to folks at Indian Autos Blog for, in the latest spy shots too, Lodgy is seen hiding under significant amount of camouflage.
Auto enthusiasts in the country have already seen numerous spy shots of Lodgy and recently, the company released the image of the new MPV. Lodgy MPV, which is already on roads in the international market under Dacia badge, is likely to get a get a price tag in the range of ₹8 - ₹11 lakh in India.
From a visual stand point, the India-specific Lodgy will stick to the familiar design of Dacia MPV, but with a redesigned front fascia and minor changes in the interiors. From what we have so far, Lodgy is likely to features three-spoke steering wheel, circular AC vents, dual-tone dashboard and centre armrest for rear passengers. There seems to be parking sensors and reverse camera on the menu.
As for the engine, while still not confirmed, Lodgy is speculated to pack 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine in two states of tune - 85PS and 110P under the hood and is expected to come mated to a manual transmission.
When launched, Renault Lodgy will also take on the likes of Maruti Ertiga, Toyota Innova, Chevrolet Enjoy and upcoming Datusn Go+ in India.
