Renault's small car Kwid is continuing its journey in the Indian market with over 1.25 lakh bookings and undoubtedly the car has redefined the small hatchback segment. Now, a set of images of a fully-accessorised Renault Kwid Sports has started doing the rounds on the internet, showing the customisable option available on the model.
Rushlane has shared the images of the Kwid with accessories, which was spotted at a dealership yard. Renault Kwid is available with various customisation options, which include Renault Kwid Air, Renault Kwid Rider and Renault Kwid Zap. The spotted version of the Kwid wears body decals, body-coloured slats for the grille, silver diffuser, faux air intakes, blacked out pillars and rear spoiler.
In the cabin, the accessorised Kwid gets silver accents on the gear lever, body-coloured door inserts, special mats and leather seat covers. The Kwid Sports wears accessories worth Rs. 48,000. Under the hood, the Kwid remain unchanged. Currently, the Kwid is powered by a 799cc three-cylinder petrol motor, which is tuned to churn out 53bhp at 5,678rpm and a peak torque of 72Nm at 4,386rpm, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. It boasts fuel efficiency of 25.17kmpl.
Renault is expected to launch the 1.0litre and the AMT (automated manual transmission) in India in the coming months. The 1000cc petrol unit is expected to develop over 65bhp mated to five-speed manual transmission. The 1.0-litre model is also expected to come with better safety features. The French automaker is also said to be planning to launch the production-spec of its two concepts -- Kwid Racer and Kwid Climber -- which were showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 in early February in India.
