Rumours mills are on overdrive when it comes to the Renault Kwid and the several launch dates that have been associated with it.

Now it looks like the wait is getting over, as the latest word on the internet suggests that Renault will pull the wraps off its much-awaited Kwid in India next month.
Renault Kwid, the small car designed like an SUV, will be pitted against Maruti Alto and Hyundai Eon and is expected to go on sale in India by the end of September. The media drive scheduled to begin next month.
Unveiled in May, Kwid, the global hatchback, has been getting lot of attention from auto lovers. Built on Renault-Nissan's CMF-A modular platform, Kwid is expected get a price tag in the range of Rs 3 lakh to Rs 4 lakh.
From what we know so far, the feature list of Kwid is likely to include the segment's first touchscreen Media-Nav navigation system with a seven-inch display, digital instrument console, alloy wheels, chrome door handles, chrome touched tail lights, roof rails and side body cladding.
Under the hood, the Renault Kwid will include 800 cc three-cylinder petrol mills, which is expected to churn out 57bhp power and the transmission is expected to be taken care of by either a five-speed gearbox or AMT.
The model has 180mm of ground clearance. The recent spy shots of the Kwid also indicated a top-end Lodgy like Stepway variant.
The Kwid, which is currently being tested on the roads in India, is also featured in the Renault's latest TVC with the brand's new face Ranbir Kapoor.
