Here comes some good news for those who have been waiting to grab French maker Renault's small car Kwid. The car has started landing at the dealerships of the company, ahead of its possible launch in India this month.
Indian Autos Blog has shared pictures of Renault Kwid taken at a dealership yard of the company. From the images, Kwid is believed to be the top and mid-variant of the model with body coloured front and rear bumpers and foglamps. The pictures also reveal the body shades of Kwid -- Sliver and Brown -- and the interiors.
Built on Renault-Nissan's CMF-A modular platform, the new Kwid is expected to be powered by an all-new, 800cc, BR-8, DOHC, 3 cylinders engine, which is tuned to dish out a power of 57bhp and a peak torque of 74Nm. The transmission will be taken care of by either a five-speed gearbox or AMT. Kwid is speculated to clock the best-in class mileage of 25kmpl.
Renault Kwid will come with the segment's first ever touchscreen Media-Nav Navigation System with a seven-inch display, digital instrument console, alloy wheels, chrome door handles, chrome touched tail lights, roof rails and side body cladding.
The bookings for the Kwid are open in the country and the model will be priced in the brackets of Rs 3 lakh to Rs 4 lakh. Kwid has a ground clearance of 180mm and measures 3.68 meters long and 1.58 meters wide.
