The auto enthusiasts in the country have already heard a lot about the Kwid 1.0 litre, about its launch and specifications, but what is actually left to see is the price tag of the model. The latest online buzz is that, the Kwid 1.0 litre, the new powerful avatar of much-acclaimed Kwid from the house of Renault, which is inching closer to its launch in the country could get a price tag at Rs. 4.3 lakh.
The French-auto maker Renault's new Kwid 1.0 litre is slated for its launch in India on Aug.22. The bookings for the Kwid 1.0 litre are already underway in the country and the latest report of Gaadiwaadi says that the new avatar of the entry-level hatchback is likely to be priced in the range of Rs. 4.3 lakh to Rs. 4.4 lakh (ex-showroom).
Under the hood, the Kwid 1.0 litre will pack a 999cc 3-cylinder DOHC engine that is tuned to churn out 67hp of power and 91Nm of torque. The 1.0 litre avatar of the Kwid will come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox initially and is expected to be followed by automated manual transmission (AMT) during the festive season this year. The new Kwid is expected to return a fuel efficiency of 23.01 kmpl. The current Kwid in the market delivers 25.17 kmpl.
In terms of style and design, the Kwid 1.0 litre will remain the same, except for minor tweaks such as dual-tone OVRMs and 'SCe' badge at the rear and decals on the body. Inside the cabin, the Kwid 1.0 litre will feature dual-tone dashboard, rear parcel tray, touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, USB, Bluetooth and aux-in and foldable backrest. For safety, the Kwid 1.0 litre will get remote key-less entry with central locking and driver side airbag as optional.
