French automaker Renault is all set to expand its Duster portfolio in India with the launch of its new Duster AWD.
While this all-wheel-drive Duster is gearing up for a September launch in the country, new spy shots of the same have hit the web, revealing all the details of the SUV. Thanks to the folks at Autocar India for the latest spy shots.
Renault Duster 4×4, a SUV, which is already in sales in the international markets will be available with three modes – two-wheel drive, auto and four-wheel lock. Globally, Duster 4×4 is sold with diesel and petrol engines. The diesel model is powered by K9K 1.5-litre four-cylinder eight-valve diesel engine, which can generate a power of 107 hp and peak torque of 240 Nm.
The petrol version is powered by a 1.6 litre four-cylinder engine, which offers a max power of 105 hp and peak torque of 148 Nm and both the engines come mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
In India, Renault will be launching only the diesel variant of the new Duster and the model promises a mileage of 19.72kmpl.
Talking about the features in the India bound version of Duster AWD, the car is likely to get three-spoke steering wheel, touch-screen infotainment system, steering-mounted Controls, 2-DIN stereo system, rear air-conditioning vents, keyless entry and rear-parking sensors.
The model is also speculated to get safety features like Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Emergency Brake Assist and Dual SRS Front Airbags.
Once it hits the market, the new Duster AWD will become the top end model of Duster in the country and the SUV will be pegged against Mahindra Scorpio 4×4 and Tata Safari Storme 4×4.
If reports are to be believed, the upcoming duster AWD is likely to be priced ₹80,000 higher than the current top end model of Duster in the country.
