Remo has entered its second weekend with a bang. With no big films released this week, the collection of the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer at the box office is expected to remain stable.
Sivakarthikeyan's Remo saw the light of the day on October 7 in over 400 screens in Tamil Nadu. The movie was released on the occasion of Dasara holiday weekend and this helped the movie to do a fantastic business in five days where it earned close to Rs 30 crore.
Despite facing competition from Vijay Sethupathi's Rekka and Prabhu Deva's Devi, Remo has so far reportedly grossed over Rs 40 crore at the worldwide box office. The trade experts are predicting the movie to do good business on Saturday and Sunday and expects the flick to gross about Rs 45 crore at the Tamil Nadu box office by the end of its second weekend.
Remo is made on a budget of over Rs 35 crore and the makers are happy with the response that they received from the audience in the first week. The film is set to earn good profits for the exhibitors as well as distributors, say trade reports.
The film bagged a 'U' certificate from the regional censor board and got 30 percent entertainment tax exemption. It means the gross collection of Remo is almost equal to the net business.
Romantic-comedy Remo is written and directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan and produced by RD Raja. Sivakarthikeyan's performance and decent story are said to be the highlights of the Tamil flick, which has Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead.
