Sivakarthikeyan's Remo has ended its second weekend on a high note. The Tamil movie has estimated to have grossed over Rs 42 crore in 10 days at theTamil Nadu box office.
Remo enjoyed a good occupancy rate in the theatres over the weekend. It is not just in 'A' centres, but also in the 'B' and 'C' centres where the Kollywood movie has made good collections. The turnout of the family audience had a major impact on the overall business of the flick in Tamil Nadu.
As per the trade reports, the biggest centre for Remo is undoubtedly the Chengalpet region where it has minted Rs 11 crore. Chennai follows next by earning a little over Rs 4.8 crore. Coimbatore is in the third place by collecting Rs 6.8 crore.
Remo has earned Rs 3.6 crore in Salem, Rs 3.9 crore in Tirunelveli & Kanyakumari, Rs 6.8 crore in Madurai and Tuticorin with North and South Arcots contributing Rs 5.2 crore to take the total of Rs 42.1 crore. It has to be noted that the total collection reported here is an estimated number and the makers are yet to reveal the official numbers.
The movie has turned out to be the biggest commercial hit in Sivakarthikeyan's career. Remo had minted about Rs 21 crore in the first weekend. The trade experts are expecting the movie to gross over Rs 50 crore before Deepavali.
Interestingly, despite facing competition from Prabhu Deva's Devi and Vijay Sethupathi's Rekka, Remo has managed to do well at the box office. It is a romantic-comedy entertainer directed by Bhagyaraj Kannan and produced by RD Raja. Sivakarthikeyan's performance and decent story are said to be the highlights of the Tamil flick, which has Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead.
