As long as a mobile user has 4G compatibility on the device, Reliance Jio offer is open, but an official confirmation goes a long way. After LeEco confirmed that its smartphones are now eligible for Reliance Jio Welcome Offer, Oppo has revealed the list of devices that can get free Jio SIM with unlimited data, VoLTE calls and more until December 31.
Oppo announced on Friday that Jio's Welcome Offer is available on select models, which include Oppo F1 Plus, F1s, F1, A37 and Neo 7. Anyone owning one of these smartphones can walk into the nearest Reliance Digital, Xpress or Xpress Mini stores with necessary documents to get a free Jio SIM card.
Due to extreme demand, there has been a long waiting period just to get the SIM and complete the activation. But Jio is tackling the activation woes by introducing e-KYC facility, which will drastically reduce the wait time for activation of a Jio SIM. The e-KYC facility is only available in New Delhi and Mumbai, but it is expected to arrive in other cities over the next few days or weeks.
With the e-KYC process in place, one must carry just the Aadhaar card for instant activation. The process for getting a Jio SIM and activating it remains the same for Oppo smartphone owners.
Reliance Jio has partnered with more than 20 smartphone manufacturers for its Welcome Offer and more and more OEMs continue to get onboard with Jio for its irresistible offer. The unlimited data and VoLTE calls are serving as a great USP for companies, which are openly advertising eligibility for the offer while launching new smartphones.
