Reliance Jio has expanded its 90-days free and unlimited calls, data and SMS offer to several third-party smartphone brands, including Micromax, Yu, TCL, Alcatel, LG and Samsung, but some users are facing issues generating the JPO (Jio Preview Offer) coupon code on their eligible smartphones.

If your 4G smartphone is one of the eligible phones approved by Jio for the preview offer, but you are not getting the "Get Jio SIM" option in the MyJio app, here's how to fix that. After numerous complaints of users being unable to find the offer on their phones, International Business Times, India, reached out to Reliance Jio for assistance. And there is indeed a way to fix that.

First of all, users trying to get the free Jio 4G SIM must download MyJio app and all other Jio apps on their smartphone. The MyJio main app will show a banner with a notification to install all Jio apps with just one click. Close all the apps and reopen the main MyJio app. The banner on the top with "Install Jio apps" button will slide and a new banner with the option "Get Jio SIM" will appear.

After speaking to the Jio Care technical department, we learned that users must wait for a few minutes for the "Get Jio SIM" option to appear.

Tap on "Get Jio SIM" and follow the procedure to get your free Jio 4G SIM card from nearest Reliance Digital store. However, due to some problems, the "Get Jio SIM" does not appear in some phones, leaving users wondering what to do next.

If you were trying to generate the JPO coupon on Wednesday, the technical team confirmed that there was an outage between 3 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. It's best to wait for a few minutes when you are unable to get the offer.

Another possible instance narrated by the Jio technician we spoke is that some users might have already activated the JPO offer on the device by using some hacking tricks and a second attempt will not be entertained from the same device. If the device's IMEI number is already registered with Jio servers, the application to get the JPO offer on that device gets rejected; hence the "Get Jio SIM" option fails to appear.

In case you haven't activated the JPO offer on your smartphone before, but still facing issues, then try contacting the Jio Care team who can fix your issue in a matter of few minutes. Users facing the issue of the missing "Get Jio SIM" option must either call 1800-889-9999 or email your concern with screenshots to care@jio.com. Make sure you have your device's IMEI number handy when you make the call or include the information in your email to Jio Care.

The MyJio app sends the device's IMEI number to the Jio servers, post which the "Get Jio SIM" option appears on the app. In case the automated process fails due to any bug or issue, Jio Care technicians manually register the IMEI number of the eligible smartphone on the server if not already done. And voila! "Get Jio SIM" appears.

If you are using a dual SIM handset, you will need to provide the IMEI number of both SIM slots. This information can be found under Settings > About Phone > Status. Wait for a couple of minutes after raising the complaint successfully and try again. We were able to resolve the issue in a matter of ten minutes and successfully generated the JPO coupon code. We will also be reviewing the Jio services over the next few days.
