Reliance LYF series smartphones listed on e-commerce site; price, specifications revealed

Before Reliance could officially take the wraps off the new LYF series smartphones in India, the company's e-commerce division has jumped the gun by listing the devices on the website revealing the price and specifications.

Reliance Digital posted three LYF series phones -- Earth 1, Water 1 and Water 2 -- on the online shop site. Once the word got out in the media, the web page was take down. However, by then, we were able to take a screenshot of the page.

According to the listing, LYF Earth 1 sports a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display having 5MP snapper on the right top corner.

Under-the-hood, it is said to come packed with 32GB inbuilt storage, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC (System-on-Chip) and a massive 3500 mAh Li-Po battery.

The key aspect of the Reliance phone is its primary camera. It boasts dual-camera comprising 13MP main snapper with 2MP secondary camera with LED flash placed in between them.

On the other hand, LYF Water 1 features 5.0-inch full HD display and runs on the Android 5.1 Lollipop powered by Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM, 13MP camera, 5MP snapper and a 2600 mAh cell.

On the other hand, the LYF Water 2 is a low-end version of the Water 1 model. The former variant features 5.0-inch HD screen and comes with 2GB RAM, 2400 mAh battery. The rest of the key specifications such as inbuilt memory and camera hardware remain the same as the latter.

Word on the street is that all three Reliance LYF series phones will hit stores in the first week of February in 13 select cities in India. Stay tuned for more updates.
