This year's AGM is touted to be biggest event in the company history, as it officially forays into the multi-billion dollar telecom business in India. For the first time, the company will be streaming the AGM proceedings online, where Ambani is slated to make the key note speech.
It is widely reported that the Reliance Jio 4G service, which has already accumulated more than 4 million users through its preview trial offer, is expected to be formally thrown open to all, with pre-paid and post-paid tariff plan details.
Once launched, the company is expected re-name "Jio Preview Offer" to "Jio Trial Offer" and expand the service to all 4G-LTE enabled phones. It has to be noted that there will be no change in privileges. New users will still be entitled to get unlimited HD Voice (VoLTE), video calling, unlimited SMS (9000), unlimited high speed data and Jio Apps for a period of 90 days.
Word on the street is that Reliance Jio is planning to offer exclusive "Enterprise" plan to corporate companies. This special package is said to come with pre-activated Jio SIM card and 90-days preview offer. Post the trial period, they are entitled to get a subsidised tariff on call and data packs.
