With many back-to-back blockbusters, the movies of Dulquer Salmaan are now almost assured of some success at the box office. The actor, who is basking in the success of Sameer Thahir's family thriller "Kali," will be next seen in Rajeev Ravi's upcoming movie "Kammatipaadam."
Sources close to the movie have confirmed that the Dulquer-starrer, which is one of the most anticipated Malayalam films of the year, will hit the theatres all over India on May 20. Dulquer plays a 43-year-old man, Krishnan, and his salt-and-pepper look in the film has already become the talk of the town. International Business Times, India, had confirmed that the rumours about the makers planning to release the teaser of "Kammatipaadam" on May 1 are just that — fake news.
The film also stars Bollywood actress Rasika Dugal, Shaun Romy and Amalda Liz in lead female roles. Vinayakan, Soubin Shahir, Sunny Wayn, Vinay Forrt, Shine Tom Chacko, P Balachandran and Anjali Aneesh will also be seen in pivotal roles.
Scripted by actor P Balachandran, "Kammatipaadam" is being produced by Prem Menon under the banner of Global United Media. While Madhu Neelakandan has handled the cinematography, Ajithkumar B has handled the editing. Anwar Ali has penned the lyrics of the songs, for which music has been composed by K, John P Varkey and Vinayakan.
The upcoming film is the third directorial venture of National Film Award-winning cinematographer Rajeev after Fahadh Faasil's "Annayum Rasoolum" and the Farhaan Faasil-starrer, "Njan Steve Lopez."
