Rathina Shiva, who is basking in the success of his latest movie Rekka, seems to be getting ready to work with a top star. Yes, the director is planning to team up with none other than Ilayathalapathy Vijay.
The director has confirmed the news and said that he has written a script, which will suit Vijay. Rathina Shiva will be meeting the actor to narrate the story by the end of this month. He also claims that Ilayathalapathy was impressed by the trailer of his latest movie Rekka, although he is yet to watch the flick.
Vijay has been open to working with relatively new directors. His recent movie Theri was directed by Atlee Kumar, who had only one movie to his credit before teaming up with Ilayathalapathy. Considering this factor, it is believed that the actor would not hesitate to work with Rathina Shiva if the director impresses him with his story.
Rathina Shiva made his directorial debut with Vaa Deal. Unfortunately, the movie has not seen the light of the day. The director hopes that it will hit the screens soon. His latest movie Rekka, starring Vijay Sethupathi and Lakshmi Menon, is a pure commercial entertainer that opened well at the box office.
On the other hand, Vijay is busy with his forthcoming movie Bairavaa. The shooting is nearing completion and it is likely to be wrapped up by the first week of November. The Bharathan-directorial, which has Keerthy Suresh in the female lead role, will hit screens for Pongal 2017.
After the completion of Bairavaa, Vijay will be moving on to Atlee Kumar's film.
